Ashlee Simpson: Playful and Pretty in Polka Dots

I found this picture of Ashlee Simpson and her hubby Pete Wentz  and thought how playful and cute the two look. It was taken when they attended the Kentucky Derby last May 1st.

I especially like Ashlee’s red polka dot dress, a very pretty and flirty piece; not to mention neat, fresh, and sweet as well.

It may look a little costume-ish, especially with the hat, but with a change of accessories, the dress is actually very wearable, and very perfect for spring and summer!

Wearing polka dot dresses may not be for everyone, but if you do want to wear it, pick one with dots that suit your body structure – small dots if you’re tiny; medium if you’re medium built; and large, if you’re big and round.  A two-color combination is the easiest to wear.
