Nikki Reed: A Day Dress for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards?

While every girl, woman, and lady was garbed in something sparkly or shiny at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Twilight’s Nikki Reed was brave enough to wear a classic looking printed day dress.

Again, let’s hand it to her for being fearless. Because despite the dress being a Miu Miu, it is still a day dress; and unfortunately not red carpet worthy…(Nikki, I’m sorry dear).

Events like the MTV Movie Awards call for dressier, sexier, and edgier pieces. Had I been there to give Nikki some styling tips, I’d have asked her to wear this Missoni piece:

The Missoni would have rocked her curves and flattered her squarish face. Tsk, tsk, tsk, too bad I wasn’t there.

Going back to her Miu Miu dress, it’s actually not a bad looking item. In fact, it’s a very attractive and summer appropriate piece. Nikki just made the mistake of wearing it to the wrong occasion.
