New Arrivals at Jessica Simpson: Pretty Enough for Weddings

While so many articles have been written about the stress involved in choosing the perfect wedding gown, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of discussion about the stress of finding the perfect dress to wear to a wedding as a guest.

When the invite says the dress code is formal, should you go to a wedding in long gown even if the wedding is in day time? Is it OK to wear white to someone’s wedding? For female guests, is it acceptable to wear a pant suit to a wedding? Are maxi dresses good to wear to weddings or should you wear a short cocktail dress instead?

We think that the easiest way to go is to wear a beautiful cocktail dress. This way, you only need to wear a nice pair of shoes, put on diamond stud earrings, carry a clutch purse, and you’re pretty much ready to go. You won’t look plain but you also won’t run the risk of upstaging the bride.

Using new arrivals from the Jessica Simpson Collection, we made this simple guide on what to wear to weddings:

These dresses are safe to wear for day time or night time weddings in any season. We chose dresses in bright hues because in some cultures, white and black dresses are unacceptable to wear to weddings. The color red is also considered a ‘no-no’ because it is said to take attention away from the bride.

We also suggest wearing cocktail dresses because it’s easier to move in them compared to long gowns. Their costs can also be less prohibitive, and you get so many RTW choices online. In fact there are other options available in the Jessica Simpson Collection that you might want to check out.
