Trend Spotting: Yellow on the Red Carpet

Here’s one red carpet trend that we spotted in the last couple of weeks: the yellow gown. Nicole Richie wore a yellow gown to celebrate her new prime time series Fashion Star at Macy’s in Herald Square in New York.  Last Wednesday (March 14) Elizabeth Banks also wore yellow on the red carpet. It was for the premiere of her latest film, The Hunger Games.

Yellow is harder to pull off than black or red, but if you succeed at wearing yellow, you’ll be like a burst of sunshine at the event.
