Jennifer Aniston Wears Floral Dress to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Jennifer Aniston doesn’t agree with Karl’s proclamation. The actress usually sticks to little black dresses, but there have been a few occasions when the actress surprised people by showing up at events in sweet floral dresses, like last Wednesday when the actress wore such a dress to receive her star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 43-year old Jen may be middle-aged (truth!) but she sure isn’t overweight, and she certainly looks amazing in floral print dresses!

Jen’s dress is part of Chanel’s Cruise 2012 Collection.

Chanel dresses are available in Far Fetch, but the store does not have anything from the Cruise Collection yet.

While none of us may be getting our own stars at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, we can still channel sweet Jen in our floral dresses. Below are three lovely floral dresses we can all wear for our own special days.

This dress is the most affordable among the three. It is available in Revolve Clothing for $180. It’s a belted dress that is oh so sexy.

Here’s another trend that has become apparent in the last few months- the peplum. Peplum is defined in Free Dictionary as “a short overskirt or ruffle attached at the waistline of a jacket, blouse, or dress.”

Jennifer Aniston, Blake Lively, and Emma Stone are just three of the many celebrities who wore dresses with peplum in the last few months.

One thing we love about Vanessa Hudgens is how she isn’t scared to play with different looks. At the after-party for Leila Shams at the NY fahion week last February 9, the actress rocked a black sleeveless dress that made her look dangerously hot.

This lovely vintage dress survived many summers and is still in great condition. It’s the kind of dress that clearly transcends seasons and trends. It has a halter neck, a belt tie and floral print. It is $ 289 from Far Fetch.

The title of this blog is probably insulting but we really think Michelle Williams had the perfect prom look when she attended the Paris premiere of her movie, My Week with Marilyn, at the Cinema Gaumont Marignan last February 14. From its cut to its color, Michelle Williams’ Christian Dior dress evoked “prom queen”. All that was missing from her look was a tiara.

Ashanti’s See-Through Dress: Yay or Nay?

When people start making their best-dressed and worst-dressed lists for the year, we’re sure this dress will be included in the latter. And when people write about “what not to wear”, we’re sure this dress will be included in the articles too. Yes, this sheer dress, which Ashanti wore to the Falguni & Shane Peacock Fall 2012 fashion show last February 12, is a big NAY for us. Sorry, we know Ashanti is beautiful and have a banging bod, but this dress does nothing good for her.

To finish her look, Ashanti decided to wear high-heeled pumps that have the letters SE and X, spelling SEX. Cringe.

Ladies, we’re sure we already said this before- there is a way to look sexy without revealing too much. In fact, we’ve already featured dresses with cut-outs and sexy sheer panels before (eg. Miley Cyrus in David Koma).

The dress wouldn’t have been as bad if styled differently. For starters, she should’ve ditched the headband and the shoes!
